6/27/83 One advantage to biking along the official Trans-America bike trail is that some folks on the route have created special stops/campgrounds/services for those many bike tourists traveling in either direction. We spent the night at Lazie Louie Bicycle Camp. Since we were a small group, we had to spend the night in the “independents” rather than in the garage where the bikecentennial groups spend the night.
This is one of the camps where other cyclists would be found stopping from Westbound or Eastbound routes together.
